    The most recent round of TV PSAs was created for our Fight Arthritis Pain campaign. One in five adults in the United States (46 million people) has arthritis and an estimated 67 million people will be affected by 2030. This PSA campaign features fun ways that people can integrate movement into their lives. The PSAs instill a sense of hope for those who have this disease by communicating that "moving is the best medicine."

    PSA Sponsorship Opportunities for Television

    If you are interested in attaching corporate sponsorship to an existing Ad Council television PSA, several campaigns are potentially available.

    Please note that each sponsorship opportunity must be considered and approved on an individual, case by case basis. We do this ensure that the campaign in question is comfortable with the sponsor's product, etc.

    The following categories would be unacceptable as sponsors for any Ad Council campaign:

    • Tobacco Products
    • Alcohol Products
    • Pharmaceuticals (in most cases)
    • Any for-profit lobbying groups, organizations and other products that clearly conflict/counter the PSA's message

    Once you have a specific sponsor in mind for a particular Ad Council campaign, and have read the instructions below, please contact Leith El-Hassan at (212) 984-1983.

    Instructions for sponsoring campaigns featuring non-SAG talent:
    1. Your sales force contacts the Ad Council, identifying the campaign you have chosen from the list to the right and the potential corporate sponsor.
    2. We obtain clearance from our non-profit partner.
    3. We provide you with the approval.
    4. You tag the spot and start running it in the airtime paid for by the advertiser.
    Instructions for sponsoring campaigns featuring SAG talent:
    1. Your sales force contacts the Ad Council, identifying the campaign you have chosen and the potential corporate sponsor. NOTE: Not all Ad Council campaigns featuring SAG talent are available for sponsorship. Please contact Leith El-Hassan for a list of available campaigns, or refer to the list to the right.
    2. We obtain clearance from our non-profit partner.
    3. We calculate the costs associated with running the chosen PSA in your particular market and negotiate with the talent involved. Costs depend on a number of variables: talent featured, market rank, length of buy, etc.
    4. We provide you with the necessary clearances, approvals and costs.
    5. Your station or advertiser pays all associated fees prior to airing the PSA.
    6. You tag the spot and start running it in the airtime paid for by the advertiser.
