    The most recent round of TV PSAs was created for our Fight Arthritis Pain campaign. One in five adults in the United States (46 million people) has arthritis and an estimated 67 million people will be affected by 2030. This PSA campaign features fun ways that people can integrate movement into their lives. The PSAs instill a sense of hope for those who have this disease by communicating that "moving is the best medicine."

    PSA Sponsorship Opportunities for Radio

    If you are interested generating revenue and supporting our PSAs at the same time, you should know that all Ad Council Live Announcer Copy can now be sponsored by your advertisers. It's a great opportunity for your local and national advertising clients to help support an important cause in the community, and it can help you by serving as a perfect "value-added" opportunity in your sales kit.

    Please note that each sponsorship opportunity must be considered and approved on an individual, case by case basis. We do this to ensure that the nonprofit organization in question is comfortable with the sponsor's product, etc.

    The following categories would be unacceptable in most cases as sponsors for any Ad Council campaign:

    • Tobacco Products
    • Alcohol Products
    • Pharmaceuticals
    • Any for-profit lobbying groups, organizations and other products that clearly conflict/counter the PSA's message

    Once you have a specific sponsor in mind for a particular Ad Council campaign, and have read the instructions below, please contact Leith El-Hassan at (212) 984-1983.

    How to use our Live Announcer Copy as a sponsorship opportunity:
    1. All of our Live Announcer Copy can be sponsored by one of your advertisers. You can offer the opportunity as paid option for your advertising clients. You determine the price and you keep all the revenue - we're happy with the media exposure our issue gets.
    2. Aside from offering our PSA copy individually as a paid opportunity, we recommend that you offer it as a "value-added" for your best clients. For instance, if they run 10 paid ads with you in a certain time frame, they automatically get to choose one PSA script to sponsor from among our available issues.
    3. Once your client agrees to the sponsorship, we obtain clearance from our non-profit partner. Simply email Leith El-Hassan (info below) and she will get back to you with the proper approvals.
    4. Finally, you use our altered live announcer copy as needed. Your station talent can record or do a live read of our copy, adding on the appropriate modifications, such as a "sponsored by X company" or "message brought to you by Y company and this station"
