The most recent round of TV PSAs was created for our Fight Arthritis Pain campaign. One in five adults in the United States (46 million people) has arthritis and an estimated 67 million people will be affected by 2030. This PSA campaign features fun ways that people can integrate movement into their lives. The PSAs instill a sense of hope for those who have this disease by communicating that "moving is the best medicine."

    Radio Disney Delivers Campaign Outreach

Throughout the summer and into the fall, local Radio Disney teams are incorporating the Ad Council's Let's Move and Wildfire Prevention campaigns into fifteen large-scale community events in select markets across the country. Those cities are: Detroit, San Francisco, Seattle, Dallas, Louisville, Providence, Houston, Sacramento, Portland, Little Rock, Kansas City, Salt Lake City and Atlanta. One of the initial events was held at the River Days festival in downtown Detroit in collaboration with WFDF-AM.

Events are taking place at venues such as local sporting events, zoos, community fairs and festivals. Each event features the Spin-to-Win game and is run by staff from the local Radio Disney stations. Young participants spin a big, bright wheel for a chance to learn about the Wildfire Prevention and Let's Move campaigns. Where the wheel lands determines what type of question the youngsters are asked from Let's Move Trivia, Wildfire Quiz or the Let's Move physical activity challenge. Answering a question correctly can result in fun takeaway prizes for participants. All visitors receive campaign and educational information. The Ad Council's Spin-to-Win game made an appearance in Detroit at its annual River Days festival, an event leading into the International Freedom Fireworks between Detroit and Windsor, Canada.

The Let's Move PSA campaign, America's Move to Raise a Healthier Generation of Kids, is co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Wildfire Prevention campaign is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Forest Service and National Association of State Foresters.
